My Great Lakes Seaway Trail War of 1812 Quilt Challenge entry is finished. 

It's off to Sackets Harbor, NY for the show taking place March 17-18.

I figured out how to create a diamond border like the one on this quilt.

First, sew together three strips (3", 2 1/2", and 3"). Press toward the center strip.

 Cut 2 1/2" strips at a 45 degree angle.

Mark 1/4" from the raw edge with a Frixion pen.

Match up the strips and pin.

Sew.
